Emptiness can signal both an ending and a beginning. The identity for the 8th F-H-YU Jeon, Hongik University’s unified regular exhibition, was built around the theme “0 and ∞,” exploring how two zeros meeting can suggest infinity and the limitless potential held within a blank state.
The visual system translated this paradox into bold spatial forms. One graphic reads as a convex sphere, the other as a hollow void, while connecting lines appear to pierce one form and envelop the other. This interplay reframes the circle as both presence and absence, tension and continuity. Applied across posters and promotional materials, the motif created a striking and cohesive identity that embodied the exhibition’s exploration of contradiction and possibility.
